Henna,
mahendi, mehandi as known in many different cultures around the world is a fun
way to enjoy tattoos without the pain of a needle.
What is henna? Henna is a paste
made out of natural leaves of mehandi plant. The leaves are dried and crushed
into powder. The powder is then mixed into a paste. The leaves stain the upper
layer of the skin. The paste is applied on skin and removed after 6 to 8 hours.
Natural henna dyes your skin an orange to burgundy color depending on your body
chemistry and the part on which it is applied to. The palms and soles of your
feet stain the darkest.
There is no exact recipe to make
the paste. Different cultures have different recipes. The paste is made with
decoctions made of tea, coffee; lemon juice etc. Sometimes essential oils like
lavender, tea tree, etc are used too.
Henna or mahendi is applied on
many different occasions weddings being on top, baby showers, bridal showers,
birthday parties, sweet sixteen, Id, Karwa chauth. I cater to all these
occasions and many more.

I try to accommodate each of my
client’s choice of designs. If you require 2 artists for your party or wedding
I will be more then happy to accommodate you. We are a group of artists who
happily work together.
All the designs on this website are my work, some designs are inspired from henna books bought but are put on hands and feet by me, and any other claims are false.
